Calibration, loop testing and pre-commissioning
Calibration and testing that produces the documentation a plant actually needs at handover. Every instrument is calibrated against traceable reference standards, every loop is tested end to end, and every result is recorded on a signed certificate that goes into the loop folder.

A certificate is only worth the reference standard behind it.
Our reference instruments are calibrated against national measurement standards and those certificates are kept current, because a calibration is only as trustworthy as the thing it was measured against.
Results are written down as the test happens rather than reconstructed afterwards. Where an instrument fails it is recorded as a fail and raised — a quietly adjusted result is worse than no result at all.
